Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy Sessions
As a yoga therapist, I teach people with health challenges how to use yoga breathing, movement, and meditation practices to find ease in body, mind, and breath.
Yoga may be helpful for a variety of concerns, including back and neck pain, cancer, heart conditions, anxiety, sleep issues, and stress.
During our initial meeting, we discuss your health concerns and work together to create a personalized practice that meets you where you are—addressing your abilities, health challenges, interests, and time. From this meeting, I individually tailor a practice designed to help you reach your health goals.
Our individual yoga therapy sessions will empower you to progress toward greater health and well-being. When we meet, you will be introduced to techniques and practices to help you with your health concerns. Movement, mindfulness, meditation, relaxation, and breathing exercises may be used to help you relax, relieve stress, and manage underlying conditions or symptoms.
After the sessions, you receive a personalized copy of the session so that you may practice at home and/or share with your healthcare provider.

What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga therapy is a practice that empowers you to improve your health and well-being through physical postures and movements (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and relaxation/meditation (dhyana) to meet your specific physical, mental, and emotional needs and goals. Through whole-body awareness you become an active participant on your path to wellness. Yoga therapy addresses our multidimensionality and aids in our journey towards happiness and wholeness.
